You can meditate and find tranquility even when you are busy and stressed out. Here is how.

Take a minute to breathe

Got at least one minute to spare? Why not meditate then? You don’t need a lot of time to meditate. Even one minute is enough. When you spend a minute in stillness, your life will change for the better. Try doing this every day and notice the difference. If you practice the one minute meditation every day, it will calm your inner energy and silence your mind. Here is how to do it.

  • Breathe in for about 5 seconds.
  • Hold the breath for 5 seconds.
  • Release for 5 seconds.
  • Hold for 5 seconds.
  • Repeat this process for one minute.

Find peace and joy in your pulse

You would not perhaps believe this but finding your pulse is also a form of meditation. If you are new to meditation, you may find this technique easier to follow. Finding your pulse will not only improve your concentration but also bring calm to your mind. Here is how to do this.

  • Sit cross-legged.
  • Close your eyes slowly and focus on the area between the eyebrows.
  • Repeat the phrase Sat Nam. It means truth identified.
  • Place your right hand on your left wrist and try to feel the pulse on each fingertip.
  • Mentally repeat the sound ‘Sat Nam’ each time your pulse beats.

You can do this meditation whenever you want and you will enjoy great benefits. If you practice this daily, you will develop your intuition.

Take a tech break

There is no denying the fact that technology makes life more stressful and fortunately, there are many ways to manage stress. Every day, switch off your gadgets for at least five minutes. Practice some form of meditation during those five minutes. Turn off your computer and phone. Enjoy the stillness.

Meditate on the go

Even when you are walking, you can find a moment to motivate. Make the walk to the market or office, meditative.

  • With every step take a deep breath.
  • Feel your feet. Focus on making each step more grounded.

Find something enjoyable in your exercise routine

Try to fall in love with your exercise routine. This is the easiest way to remain committed to it. If you find pleasure in exercise, you will want to do it.
