Happiness is a choice. People who choose to be happy lead a life full of peace and joy. You are not dependent on anyone for your happiness. If you wish to be happy, just be!
Nobody is living in a paradise. All of us of have got lots of problems. But if you are constantly complaining about your problems, you are unwittingly inviting misery into your life. And when we bemoan problems instead of finding solutions we are making ourselves feel worse.
It is possible to have what you want. But you can’t have it just because you wish for it once a year. If you want to live the life of your dreams, you should have a clear vision that keeps you on track.
Everybody wants to live the perfect life, but many people don’t even know what they want. So, if you want to be happy, the first thing you need to do is to find the things that make you happy. You should know exactly what you want to achieve in life. And once you have identified your goals and chosen your path, you need to stay on that path.
Have a clear vision
Before you can live your dream life, you should know what it is. Ask yourself what you want? Have you got a clear answer? If your answer is ‘No’, it is time to think about your dreams and goals in concrete terms.
Write down your vision. List all those things that you want to do in the future. Write down what you want to be. This list will help you generate concrete goals. So, for example, if one of your goals is to establish yourself as a writer, you should consider starting a blog where you can express your thoughts and ideas. In the same way, if your goal is to become physically fit, you should perhaps want to start exercising. When you know what you want in your life, achieving your goals become easier.
Put Yourself First
If you want to live the life of your dreams and find self-improvement happiness, you will probably have to go against what others say. If you are always trying to satisfy others, you will eventually find yourself on the wrong path. It is your life. You should live it the way you want it to be. When you start living your dream life, do not worry about what other people think about you.
Every day you will find new and exciting opportunities. There is no harm in grabbing them, but make sure that you don’t lose sight of your long term goals. When a new opportunity arises, ask yourself if that will help you achieve your ultimate goals. Decline it if it is not going to help you in the long term.
Learn from your mistakes
One way of finding self-improvement happiness is to learn from your mistakes. While pursuing your goals, expect some challenges and detours. Don’t be disheartened by the bumps or hurdles that you find on the way. Treat them as an opportunity to learn something new. Every time you fail, try to find what you can learn from that experience.
You won’t be able to transform your life if you are not ready to take risks. But we are afraid of the unknown and this fear often forces us to accept the status quo. But by letting things remain the same, you are denying yourself the happiness you deserve. Face your fears. Write them down. When you record your thoughts, they become more understandable and manageable.
You can’t change your life in a day or two. But if you have the courage and the conviction to pursue your dreams, they will eventually turn into a reality.
