Believe in Yourself and The Rest is Chinch….

Welcome to Zen Manners

“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance” – Confucius

I created Zen Manners to reach inside ourselves and to find peace, because whatever we crave for in our lives is not outside – it’s right here, within us. This website is an attempt to declutter the insides and to find what we’ve all been looking for – answers.

Learn from everyone and everything

Life is beautiful, and during the journey of life, treat everyone as a teacher. At Zen Manners, I don’t derive lessons from one teacher. Anything can be a teacher for me. From old wise men to small kids, and from buzzing flies to caterpillars – each and everything in the universe can inspire you and trigger that one moment of clarity. After all, what is life if we don’t learn as we live.

Why this path of self discovery?

“Ignorance, the root and stem of all evil” – Plato

Self discovery helps us have a clear vision. It opens our minds and lets us live in peace. With a little guidance and self contemplation, we can be steered in the right way and achieve what we all want to achieve – happiness. Whether your life goal is a successful career or family life, happiness is the ultimate goal we all seek. And happiness cannot be achieved without self discovery. Zen Habits is an effort to help you with self-discovery.

Share your views

I put aside a little time every day to contemplate. And whenever I wipe a little dust off my own self and discover something new, I share it here. The platform is open for all. We need your input. If we all contribute on a common platform, we all can learn from each other. After all – life is all about learning.

I am Yamin Rahman

My name is Tom and I live in Boston, MA, USA. I’m a happily married man and my family consists of a beautiful wife, a young son and a lovely daughter. I have worked in the financial industry for 27 years, and learned that the inner peace cannot be achieved with money or power. It is the simple things that give you happiness – and most of them are free.

I have been reading Zen philosophy over many years, and learned about other religions. I have stayed among people of different cultures, and I want to share my experiences with you and learn from you.

How can you help me?

I want us to interact. I want you to read what I have experienced, and I want to read what you have experienced. Let us make it a common platform. Please read my posts and share your experiences in the comments section. I will try my best to write a post on your experiences as well. This way, we can all connect, and learn from each other and the universe.

Sincerely Your,

Founder of  Zen Manners
